It is with regret that we inform you, Briana suffered an injury in the game vs. Venezuela and will require surgery to repair her torn ACL. She will have the operation in Mexico and will be under the care of the National Team medical staff for the immediate recovery period following the procedure.
“We are incredibly proud of BW’s achievements over the past 12 months and she deserved this chance to play in the World Cup. The character she has shown to reach this level will be the same quality that will help her overcome this obstacle. I have absolutely no doubt that she will earn this opportunity again in the future, she has both the ability and potential to play with the U20s and full national team in the future. We wish BW, along with our other players that are currently injured, our best wishes and a speedy recovery.” Andrew Squire - Director of Coaching ECNL
