The term street soccer encompasses a number of informal varieties of association soccer. These informal games do not necessarily utilize the requirements of a formal game of soccer, such as a large field, field markings, goal apparatus and corner flags, eleven players per team (with a minimum of seven per team), or match officials (referee and assistant referees).
Street soccer allows players the freedom to be creative in a relaxed, fun environment. Youth players learn from their mistakes, unconscious of the technical, tactical, mental and physical qualities they are developing through the scrimmages being played.
Worldwide kids are honing their soccer skills on the streets and in parks. At Texas Rush we believe this freedom to play with no pressure from parents or coaches is invaluable in allowing our players to develop.
Coach Greg Hess will be the lead for this program.
