ECNL Host Family ND
In August 2012, sixteen year old Natasha Davenport (from Tennessee) became the first female player to move to The Woodlands to pursue her dreams of playing in the Elite Clubs National League and obtaining a NCAA Division 1 college soccer scholarship. On May 21, Natasha committed to attend the University of Pennsylvania (Ivy League) when she graduates high school in 2014. This dream was only achievable due the incredible hospitality Natasha received from the Dodson family who hosted her for 10 months.
"There are so many soccer players around the country looking for the opportunity to be noticed at a higher level, and it’s clubs like Texas Rush that give them that chance. Personally, it was great for our two kids (Kylie – U14 ECNL and Cole – 2001 TEPAL) to see first hand someone with the heart, dedication, and love for the game that Natasha has. It gave them an idea of what it takes on a daily basis to prepare them for the next level if they choose to do so. What a great experience it has been for our family to have Natasha in our home this past year! I hope more families at Rush have the opportunity to make a young player’s dream a reality."

"We can’t find words to express our gratitude to the Dodson Family, the Texas Rush Organization, and its supporters. You have provided a young lady with an opportunity she couldn’t have found anywhere else. You provided her with a safe environment to develop her soccer skills, pursue her high school education, and mature into a young adult. The opportunities you provided have helped develop self-confidence beyond measure in a young girl determined to achieve her goals and dreams.
As parents, we were concerned she might neglect her studies as she pursued her soccer dreams. Much to our delight, we watched as she stepped up her game, keeping up her grades while participating in as many as six or seven training sessions per week and traveling with her team. We listened with delight as she shared stories of her new family and friends, knowing we had made a good decision, letting her take advantage of the wonderful opportunity you made available to her. We can honestly say you have provided her with one of the best experiences in her life, allowing her to pursue her dream of playing soccer at the highest level, while giving her great memories and life-long friends.
We are forever grateful for all you have provided to our daughter, Natasha."
