Global Shop Solutions – Texas Rush Soccer Club 2017

The club is very excited to announce that Global Shop Solutions (GSS) has renewed their partnership with the club for the 10th year running (longest serving partner in club history).  They will partner and support the Soccer Camp Program – The Woodlands and R.E.A.C.H (Rush Equipment Assisting Children) throughout 2017.

Established in 2002, Rush Equipment Assisting Children is an amazing program that allows every Rush player to make a difference. By collecting used soccer equipment and uniforms from Rush players the REACH program redistributes them to underprivledged children around the nation and the globe.  Last year the club shipped 400 pounds of used soccer equipment to Trinidad & Tobago.  Over 2,000 players attended our camp program from the ages of 3-18.

“Its fantastic news that Global Shop Solutions are partnering with the club for the 10th year running. I would like to personally thank the Alexander family for their tremendous support they have provided over the years.  They have hosted coaching staff, helped support events and volunteered to coach in the Recreational Program.  The company truly understands how important soccer is to the local community for children.  It’s about partnering with fantastic people that share the same caring values where children are concerned.  We look forward to another great year.”  Simon Boddison, Director of Soccer Operations.

“We are very excited to partner with the Texas Rush Soccer Club for the 10th year running. They have first class facilities and provide a soccer program which caters for all kids and ability levels. We look forward to another great year with our renewed partnership.”  Dusty Alexander, Global Shop Solutions, President/CEO.

Winter Soccer Camps 2017

The club just completed three very successful camps with over 260 players attending over the Winter period in The Woodlands and the Kingwood communities:

Kick Cancer Camp (The Woodlands, January 13-15)

Strikers vs. Keepers Camp (The Woodlands, January 20-22)

(11% increase in registrants from 2016)

The club would like to thank the following partners for their support for the soccer camps program – Global Shop Solutions (2017 Camps Program Sponsor) and DICK’S Sporting Goods (Strikers vs. Keepers Winter Camp.)

“The camps provided an opportunity for the players to come out and have a lot of fun and enjoyment in a soccer environment.  A lot of the players finished their seasons last November so offering a Winter soccer program allows them to reconnect with the game and get a head start for their upcoming season.  We provided a detailed daily curriculum which was very well received by the players and parents.” Jamie Bell, Director of Coaching – Kingwood / Camps.

“TOPS is a program where volunteers help special needs kids play soccer. The practices are very laid back and are designed for players to have fun. Every player is paired up with at least one buddy who stays with them the whole practice making sure they are safe and having fun. The summer camp is a one week long camp with an hour of soccer per day. This is my first time running the summer camp, although I was involved with it last year. My sister recently stepped down from being the director and I took over. Sophia was the one who started the summer camp just last year. Most of the volunteers are from the John Cooper School which is where the event is held. The summer camp would not be possible without Cooper lending the gym to us for the week. The TOPS summer camp is just a great way to be involved in the community and have fun doing it.”  Wesley DeMarco, TOPS Volunteer Director.
